Wall Street rallies after another sign of cooling inflation

Wall Street is rallying again Thursday after another encouraging dose of data showed inflation cooled last month.

The S&P 500 was 1% higher following a report showing inflation at the wholesale level slowed more than economists expected in July. It bolstered hopes that inflation may be close to a peak and that the Federal Reserve won’t be as aggressive about raising interest rates as feared.

지난달 인플레이션이 진정된 것으로 나타난 고무적인 자료들이 나오자 목요일 미 증시는 다시 반등했다.

S&P 500 지수가 도매 수준의 인플레이션이 경제학자들이 7월에 예상했던 것보다 더 많이 둔화되었다는 보고에 따라 1% 상승했다. 이는 인플레이션이 정점에 가까워지고 연준이 우려했던 것만큼 금리 인상에 적극적으로 나서지 않을 것이라는 전망을 뒷받침했다.
