벨기에, 수천만 개의 위조 담배 압수

수요일 벨기에 세관원들은 전국의 불법 생산 현장을 노린 급습으로 40명을 체포하고 수천만 개의 위조 담배를 압수했다.

벨기에 재무부는 이번 작전이 관세청 역사상 최대 규모라고 설명했다.

국토부는 아직 최종 재고가 확보되지 않아 압수된 상품의 추정 가치를 제시할 수 없다고 밝혔다.

Belgium seizes tens of millions of counterfeit cigarettes

Belgium’s customs officers arrested 40 people Wednesday and seized tens of millions of counterfeit cigarettes in raids targeting illegal production sites across the country.

Belgium’s finance ministry described the operation as the biggest in the history of the customs service.

The ministry could not provide an estimated value of the merchandise seized since a final inventory has yet to be done.
