탈레반, 아프간의 이란과 접한 주요 국경 장악

목요일 아프가니스탄 당국자와 이란 언론에 따르면 탈레반은 이란과 접한 또 다른 주요 국경을 장악했다. 미군이 아프가니스탄에서 철수를 완료함에 따라 탈레반이 급성장한 것이다.

탈레반은 타지키스탄과 우즈베키스탄과의 교역을 장악한 이후 지난 한 주 동안 세 번째로 국경을 넘었다. 탈레반의 승리는 일부 국가들로 하여금 이 지역에 있는 영사관을 폐쇄하도록 만들었으며 타지키스탄은 아프가니스탄과의 남부 국경의 경계를 강화하기 위해 예비군을 소집했다.

Taliban seize key Afghan border crossing with Iran

The Taliban on Thursday seized another key Afghan border crossings, this time with Iran, according to an Afghan official and Iranian media. The seizure is part of a Taliban surge as American troops complete their pullout from Afghanistan.

It was the third border crossing the insurgents have taken in the past week, after previously seizing crossings with Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The Taliban wins have caused some countries to close their consulates in the region, while Tajikistan has called up reservists to reinforce that country’s southern border with Afghanistan.
