키프로스, 파괴적인 산불로 4명 사망

일요일 키프로스의 수색대는 동부 지중해 섬나라 역사상 ‘가장 파괴적인’ 화재로 불리는 산불이 휩쓸고 간 산간 마을 밖에서 검게 그을린 시체 4구를 발견했다.

내무장관 니코스 노리스는 민방위 자원봉사자들이 트루도스 산맥 남쪽 끝 오두 마을 바로 밖에서 유해를 발견했다고 밝혔다.

Cyprus search crews discovered four charred bodies outside a fire-swept mountain village on Sunday in what the interior minister called the “most destructive” blaze in the eastern Mediterranean island nation’s history.

Interior Minister Nicos Nouris said Civil Defense volunteers discovered the remains just outside the village of Odou on the southern edge of the Troodos mountain range.
