에티오피아, 전쟁 진정 이유로 비상사태 조기 해제

에티오피아 국회의원들이 3개월간의 국가 비상사태를 조기에 종료하기로 결의했다.

아비 아흐메드 총리가 의장으로 있는 에티오피아 각료회의는 1월 26일 분쟁의 최근 상황을 이유로 당초 6개월 동안 내려졌던 국가 비상사태를 종료하기로 결정한 후 화요일 의원들의 투표가 이루어졌다. 

Ethiopia lifts state of emergency early, citing calming war

Ethiopian lawmakers have voted to end the country’s three-month state of emergency early as mediation efforts continue to end the deadly war in the north.

Tuesday’s vote by lawmakers came after Ethiopia’s Council of Ministers, chaired by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, decided on Jan. 26 to end the state of emergency originally imposed for six months, citing recent developments in the conflict.
