매사추세츠, 병원 지원 위해 주 방위군 동원

찰리 베이커 매사추세츠 주지사는 화요일 코로나 바이러스 환자가 급증하고 있는 주 전역에 의료 인력이 부족한 병원을 지원하고 비응급 의료 수송을 지원하기 위해 주방위군 병력 500명을 투입할 것이라고 밝혔다.

보건휴먼서비스국(H&H)은 성명에서 "이번 주 300여명의 경비대원들이 55개 급성요양병원과 12개 구급차에서 비임상 지원을 위한 훈련을 시작할 것"이라고 밝혔다. 그들은 12월 27일 배치될 예정이다.

Massachusetts activates National Guard to support hospitals

Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker announced Tuesday he will activate up to 500 members of the National Guard to support understaffed hospitals across the state facing a surge of COVID-19 patients and to bolster non-emergency medical transportation needs.

Up to 300 Guard members will begin training this week to provide nonclinical support at 55 acute care hospitals and 12 ambulance service providers, the state Executive Office of Health and Human Services said in a statement. They will be deployed Dec. 27.
