일요일 인도 당국에 따르면 반인도 구호를 내걸고 파키스탄 국기에 반군 지도자의 시신을 감쌌다는 이유로 인도령 카슈미르 경찰이 가혹한 반테러법에 따라 카슈미르 반군 지도자 시드 알리 겔라니 일가족을 상대로 소송을 제기했다고 밝혔다.

91세의 나이로 수요일 사망한 질라니는 카슈미르의 뉴델리에 대한 반정부의 상징이었으며 수년 동안 가택연금 상태에 있었다.

India probes Kashmir leader’s family under anti-terror law

Police in Indian-controlled Kashmir opened a case against family members of late resistance leader Syed Ali Geelani under a harsh anti-terror law for allegedly raising anti-India slogans and wrapping his body in the Pakistani flag, officials said Sunday.

Geelani, who died Wednesday at age 91, was the emblem of Kashmir’s defiance against New Delhi and had been under house arrest for years.
