IMF, 중남미 경제 강력한 회복 전망
화요일 국제통화기금(IMF)은 중남미와 카리브해의 국내 총생산(GDP) 전망치를 상향 조정했다.
IMF는 올해 이 지역이 4월에 발표된 전망치보다 1.2%p 상승한 5.8% 성장할 것으로 예상했다. 이 지역은 지난해 7%가 줄어들어 세계 어느 지역보다도 최악의 실적을 기록했었다.
IMF forecasts stronger rebound for Latin American economies
The International Monetary Fund on Tuesday boosted its forecast for gross domestic product in Latin America and the Caribbean, fueled by stronger outlooks for its two largest economies.
The IMF expects the region will grow 5.8% this year, up 1.2 percentage points from a forecast released in April. The region contracted 7% last year, marking the worst performance of any region in the world.
