Hurricane Enrique sweeping past Mexico’s southwest coast

The first hurricane of the eastern Pacific season brushed past the coastal shoulder of southwestern Mexico Monday, keeping just off shore while sweeping the coast with heavy rains and winds that raised the threat of flash floods and mudslides.

Hurricane Enrique moved past the Cabo Corrientes bulge during the night, and slowed slightly as it headed toward a possible run at the southern end of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula as a tropical storm by midweek.

월요일 동부 태평양의 첫 허리케인이 멕시코 남서부의 해안가를 스쳐 지나가면서 폭우와 바람에 휩쓸려 순식간에 홍수와 산사태가 나타났다.

허리케인 엔리케는 밤사이 카보 코리엔테스의 돌출부를 지나쳤으며 주 중반에는 열대성 폭풍으로 약화되어 멕시코 바하칼리포르니아 반도 남단을 향해 나아갔다.
